KCL's summer book sale to be held in August The Keizer Community Library (KCL) will hold its Summer Book Sale on Friday, Aug. 6, and Saturday, Aug. 7, at the Keizer Civic Center, 930 Chemawa Road NE, Keizer. Hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. both days. Items for sale will include hardcover and paperback books, audio books, CDs, DVDs, puzzles and games, plus specialty craft and cookbook magazines at a min- imal charge. Pre-selected bags of single-genre books will be available for $5.00. Other prices are 50 cents for paperback books, $1.00 for hardcover books, $1.00 for CDs and puzzles, and special pricing on some items. Only cash, debit and credit cards will be accepted. There are three diff erent photo contest cat- egories : Pet adventures—Does your dog love to paddle-board with you? Does your cat ride in your backpack while you hike? Submit cute pictures of you and your pets on outdoor adventures or enjoying the natural world. Local wildlife: Photos of Oregon wildlife—an owl, a deer, a wandering bobcat, or even a whale off the coast. Climate change close to home: Submit photos of the impacts of climate change in your life. Submit photo(s) by attaching them in an email to respond@olcv.org, with ‘Photo Contest’ in the subject line. Make sure to include the photo contest cate- gory, your name, the location where the photo was taken, and a sentence or two explaining why it’s meaningful to you.
