Residents are encouraged to turn on their lights, lock their doors, and spend the evening outside with their neighbors from 6 - 9 p.m. Since the event aims to foster connections between community members and local law enforcement, Keizer Police Department offi cers along with the Keizer Fire District and Marion Country Fire District #1 will be dropping by parties to say hello. Organizers who register their party with the police department can expect a drop-in visit from a police offi cer sometime during the evening. Specifi c time slots are not available. Richardson December 19, 1931 – July 8, 2021 Martha V. Richardson died Thursday, July 8, 2021, in Mission Viejo, Calif. She was born in Lewistown, Mont., to Alfred Thomas and Louise Orcutt Van Camp on December 19, 1931. She spent her early years on the family ranch in Montana and later graduated from the University of Oregon in 1953. She worked as a social worker in Portland, Ore., until she married Joel Lawrence Richardson on January 19,1957. They made their home in Salem and raised three daughters. Martha devoted her time to family, church and volunteer work. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Salem and later Laguna Niguel Presbyterian Church (Calif.) where she served in numerous roles. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren, church activities, picnics, travel and helping others. Martha was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. MARTHA V. RICHARDSON Grateful for having shared her life are her surviving daughters: Sarah (Gordon) Hagena, Nancy (Walt) Linaweaver, Julie (Phil) Smith; and grandchildren Cassandra (Smith) Ammons, Kylie Smith, Karisa Hagena, Hannah Hagena and Luke Linaweaver. A memorial service will be held at Laguna Niguel Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, July 20.
