McNary boys’ lacrosse has a new head
coach, Sean Litrakis.
Litrakis has won several champi-
onships, including three North Valley
Conference titles at West Salem High
School, and was named the conference’s
Coach of the Year for 2016 and 2017.
After playing four years of varsity
lacrosse at St. Joseph’s High School in
Metuchen, New Jersey, with the school
making its fi rst playoff ever during
his senior year, he played for Rutgers
University under famed coach Tom Hayes.
"I appreciate this opportunity to bring
light to this program," Litrakis said. "I look
forward to McNary's renaissance and the
fi rst conference title in McNary's history."
Litrakis graduated from Oregon State
University in 1998 and in 2010 became
defensive coordinator at Corvallis High
School. He held that position for four years
and in 2013 was named Assistant Coach of
the Year. Also that year, he assisted Bob
Fan of West Salem, Conference Coach
of the Year, in the North Valley vs. High
Desert All-Star Game.
He was head coach at Corvallis High in
2014 and 2015 and in 2016 took the West
Salem head coaching job, succeeding Fan.
SEAN LITRAKIS
He led the Titans to three consecutive
North Valley Conference titles in 2016
through 2018 and was voted North Valley
Conference Head Coach of the Year for
2016 and 2017.
The 2017 Titans defense ranked fi rst in
the state for goals allowed, and the team
overall was rated 17th in the state, its high-
