Where to watch the pros light up the night Even in 2021, professional fireworks are harder to find than in a nor- mal year, but Keizertimes rounded up some of the shows carrying the torch for the rest. The city of Independence’s much-lauded fireworks display is back this year. While scaled-back, the Duck Derby, live music, a community church service and, of course, fireworks displays Saturday and Sunday at dusk. Only 8,000 wristbands – required for entry – are available each day. The St. Paul Rodeo returns with competition, carnival, parade, the Tack Room Saloon and fireworks at 10 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The rodeo is hosted at 20209 Main Street, in St. Paul. The rodeo hours are 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $20 to $26. The Festhalle Independence Day Weekend in Mt. Angel kicks off Saturday, July 3, with events and entertainment from 11 to 3 p.m., 500 Wilco Highway. On Sunday, the city will host a parade that begins at 11 a.m. at John F. Kennedy High School. Also on Sunday, the Marion County Citizens Band will perform at 8:30 p.m. at the high school, pre- ceding fireworks at 10 p.m. On July 4, the Mavericks League will continue the annual Volcanoes’ tradition of a Patriotic Tribute. Fireworks will follow the 7:35 p.m. game between the Campesinos and Mavericks. Tickets $6 to $30. Lincoln City’s celebration begins at 7 p.m. on July 4 with a patriotic boat parade around Devils Lake starting at 7 p.m. Enjoy a firework dis- play over Siletz Bay in the Taft District of Lincoln City beginning at dusk, approximately 10:00/10:30 p.m. Caption It!
