CLARIFICATION:
In the April 2 edition, a Keizertimes article titled Food bank on hunt for new
home, the story was interpreted by some readers as if the Keizer Community
Food Bank was being told it had to leave its current location at Faith Lutheran
Church on River Road North. The church is not requiring the food bank to
relocate. Diane McKillop, president of the Faith Lutheran Church Council,
said the food bank needs space to expand; the church does not have other
plans for the space the food bank is currently using. "Faith Lutheran Church
continues to have a relationship with the food bank and it remains part of our
ministry," McKillop said.

In 2019, there were 13,674 confi rmed
victims of child abuse and neglect
throughout Oregon. In Marion County
alone, there were 1,238. Roughly 6% of
the cases involved children under the
age of 6.
“This year, we want to
paint our town blue,” Starr
continued. “Wear blue to
show support and partner
with local organizations
because together we can
keep children safe.”
CASA of Marion County
hosts regular training sessions,
which are now all online and vir-
tual as a result of the COVID-19
pandemic.
“Training takes about 30
hours and then we ask that
the volunteers commit eight
t o
12 hours each month working
on their assigned case,” Starr said.
