Of No Adults Allowed
As Oregonians we
are no stranger to rainy
afternoons,
especially
this time of year. When
going outside is no
longer an option and
you’ve hit your screen
time limit, it can be hard
to keep entertained.
Because I love you
guys,
I
rummaged
around the offi ce looking
for fun, creative ways
to pass the time to
share. I wanted to make
something that would
not only take time to
make, but would also be
fun to play with after it
was crafted, so I present
to you: toy planes.
This is what I found
in the offi ce, and what
you’ll need for this craft:
2 Popsicle sticks
2 Small popsicle sticks
Clothes pin
Glue
Markers or paint
The fi rst step is to
color your supplies, you
can make them all the
same color or you can
switch things up. The big
popsicle sticks will be the
wings, the smaller ones
will be the propellers and
the clothes pin will be
the body of the plane.
After you’ve made
your
things
plane-
colored, whatever that
means to you, it’s time to
assemble the parts. Start
by gluing the wings onto
the plane.
One popsicle stick
should go horizontally
across the metal part of
the clothes pin, the other
popsicle stick will go
on the other side of the
clothes pin. The popsicle
sticks should be parallel-
ish.
When the wings are
secured it’s time to glue
the smaller popsicle

sticks on. Put a dab of
glue on the front of the
clothes pin and press
one of the small sticks
onto it. Glue the other
one on the end of the
clothes pin.
After the glue is dry
we’re done, and your
plane can take you
anywhere.
