Several Keizer-area teams took to the court last weekend
(Aug. 3-4) to compete in Hoopla — the state’s largest 3-on-3
tournament — in downtown Salem.

A: Madelyn Sponable dribbles to her left to try and beat her
defender off the dribble for the Celts 11-and-under girls com-
petitive division.
B: Kate Cruickshank battles down low after getting position in
the post.
C: Nate Meithof, who plays for the McNary High varsity
team, backs down his defender in a tournament game in the
17-and-under boys recreational division.
D: Brady Roth fi ghts through a double team. Roth played for
McNary’s 14-and-under boys recreational team.
E. Cooper Cripe knocks down a shot at the foul line.
