celebrates
Silverton Day
MHS Write Club
releases new book
The McNary Write Club held a release
party and Word Slam to celebrate the release
of their latest book, Turning the Kaleidoscope,
last month.
This year’s book was made possible with
a $500 donation from the Keizer Chamber
of Commerce.

The Oregon Garden in Sil-
verton will host Silverton Day
on Wednesday, July 3.
The Oregon Garden will
open at 9 a.m. At 4 p.m. at-
tendees will be able to enjoy
food vendors and bars, as well
as various activities including
face painting and yard games.
After 5 p.m., live music
performances will take the
stage and at 10 p.m. fi reworks
will begin.
Admission to the garden is
$12 for adults, $10 for seniors,
$9 for children between the
ages fi ve and eleven and $6 for
children ages four and under.
Silverton residents can attend
for free with proof of residen-
cy, and garden members can
attend for free with proof of
membership card.
After 5 p.m., admission is
free for everyone, and a $5 do-
nation per family is suggested
to help cover the costs of the
fi reworks.

Bonaventure sponsoring MPFS auction
while engaging in the silent
auction. Following the silent
auction, guests can enjoy din-
ner featuring food from local
Bonaventure Senior Living
is sponsoring the Farm to Ta-
ble Dinner and Auction at 6
p.m. at the Willamette Heri-
tage Center in Salem on July
13.
The festivities will be-
gin with hors d’oeuvres and
a selection of wine and beer
farms and prepared by guest
chef Daryl Gossack and his
team from Loustic Catering.
