Students sought for SKPS equity group Salem Keizer Public School (SKPS) students who will be attending high school in the 2019-20 school year are eligible to apply for the SKPS Superintendent’s Student Eq- uity Committee. The committee will be made up of members who will represent the diversity of the total student population. Students will be selected from each high school year from each school in the SKPS district. Howald New Keizer Police Department reserve offi cers Collin Brill, Izach Brown and Trenton Webb and full-time offi cer Paul Quintero take their oaths of duty at a Keizer City Council meeting in early June. KPD adds a new offi cer, three new reserves The Keizer Police Department has a new full-time police offi cer and three new reserve police offi cers. Offi cer Paul Quintero was hired full time in January. He spent 16 weeks at the Department of Public Safety and Standards Police Academy and graduated on May 10. Quintero and his family moved to Keizer from Southern Cal- ifornia to be closer to family. He previously worked at Intel. Reserve Offi cer Collin Brill was raised in Marion County. He was very involved in FFA, both raising and judging swine. He is currently a student at Oregon State University where he is studying agricultural sciences and is a mem- ber of the OSU Marching Band. Reserve Offi cer Izach Brown is from the Sublimity area. He recently received his asso- ciate’s degree in criminal justice from Cheme- keta Community College and works at Home Depot. Reserve Offi cer Trenton Webb is from Alba- ny.
