Gilbert House Children’s
Museum is seeking summer
camp counselors.
Camp counselors volunteer
35 hours per week for one to
seven weeks in July or August.
Counselors will assist sum-
mer camp educators by su-
pervising campers during care
hours and lunch times, as well
as assist with setting up and
taking down classroom activi-
ties. Other duties will include
facilitating games, crafts and
activities for up to 20 camp-
ers.

about Alzheimer’s and dementia at the Kaiser Permanente in
Keizer Station, 5490 Ulali Drive at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, June
13.
Alzheimer’s disease is not a normal part of aging, and attend-
ees will learn about the impacts of Alzheimer’s; the difference
between Alzheimer’s and dementia; stages and risk factors; cur-
rent research and treatments available for some symptoms; and
Alzheimer’s Association resources.

The US Census Bureau
is recruiting thousands of
people for temporary jobs
across the country, includ-
ing citizens in Marion
County, for both supervi-
sory and clerical positions
working to build the 2020
Census.
The temporary po-
sitions will begin this
summer and run through
August. Pay ranges from
$14 to $17.50 per hour,
and work done for the
2020 Census will help de-
termine each state’s rep-
resentation in Congress,
as well as how money is
spent for schools, hospi-
tals, roads and more.
Basic
qualifi cations
include being at least 18
years old, having a valid
Social Security number,
being a US citizen and
having a valid email.
The Internship Pro-
gram provides paid work
experience to students
who are in high school or
college. Internships can be
seasonal (summer, fall and
spring) or year round.
