MAKE IT:
One of the best parts of the
holidays is food; and some of
the best foods are sweets. They
make good gifts and even bet-
ter snacks. whether you're
taking them to an event, giv-
ing them as a gift, or eating
Holiday
cookies
them yourself, cookies are a
quick and easy way to spread
some holiday cheer.
Making cookies is almost
as exciting as making memo-
ries, but you'll need some in-
gredients fi rst,
Music to bake and sing
too
1 box of cake mix
1/3 cup of melted butter
1 egg
and 1 adult for oven op-
erating and memory making
purposes.
First turn on the music.
Then use the adult to preheat
the oven to 350. Next, line a
baking sheet with parchment
paper for easy clean up. Com-
bine all the ingredients in a
bowl and whisk together un-
til it becomes doughy.
Using a small or medium
sized scoop, scoop the cookies
onto the pan. Use the adult
again to put the cookies into
the oven and
bake them
for 9-11
min-
utes.
Pull
them
out
and
l e t
them sit
for 2-3 min-
utes.
Now for the fun
part, you can decorate them
anyway you'd like! Santa,
Snowfl ake or even a Snow-
man! If you can think it, you
can do it.
