Funder nets $13K for holiday giving baskets
The Keizer Network of
Women (KNOW) held its
major fund raiser—Percy
Presents—at the Keizer Civic
Center on Thursday, Sept. 20.
More than $13,000 was netted
for KNOW’s primary project,
the Giving Basket Program
that delivers a holiday meal
and toys for families in need
just before Christmas.
This year over 200 fami-
lies in need will benefi t from
the program. The families are
chosen with the assistance of
the Salem-Keizer School Dis-
trict.
This year’s Percy Presents
was themed Kentucky Derby!
Nearly 200 women attended,
most in their own iteration of
a Derby hat.
Attendees dined on a buf-
fet dinner catered by K’s Ca-
tering. Before dinner they bid
on more than 50 silent auc-
tion items. Mystery wine in a
bag were also sold during the
event. Remodeling by Classic
Homes, based in Keizer, do-
nated $3,500 for raffl e items.
Races with stick horses
added to the fun as the eve-
ning was emceed by former
Chamber president Nathan
Bauer.
