for over 300 yards and seven
touchdowns as the Titans (1-1)
welcomed Bend (1-1) to the
new Mountain Valley Confer-
ence with a 56-27 win in its
home opener on Friday, Sept.
7.
Thompson completed 13 of
19 pass attempts for 311 yards
and also rushed for 44 yards.
Four of Thompson’s touch-
downs went to Anthony
Gould, who had four recep-
tions for 184 yards.
Gould also scored on an 85-
yard kickoff return.
Micah Pugh caught three
passes for 57 yards and a touch-
down.
Jamal McMurrin had three
catches for 27 yards and a
touchdown and Anthony Pugh
hauled in a 9-yard touchdown
pass.
Kyla Gordon was a perfect
8-for-8 on extra points.
Jordan Whitaker rushed for
44 yards on 10 carries. Stanley
Green added 41 yards on eight.
West Salem plays at Grant
on Friday, Sept. 14 and returns
home on Sept. 21 against Shel-
