KEIZERTIMES/Derek Wiley
Forest Ridge Elementary School students planted four trees at Pfc. Ryan J. Hill Memorial Park at
Keizer Station on Thursday, April 5.
A Portland woman was
found rummaging through a
glove box after allegedly break-
ing into a 2006 Saturn van in
the parking lot of Simonka
Place.
A Keizer police offi cer re-
sponded to the report of a car
break-in about 1 a.m. Tuesday,
April 3.
The caller reported a female
suspect used a bat, crowbar or
another similar instrument to
break one of the vehicle’s win-
dows and the vehicle alarm was
sounding.
When the offi cer arrived on
scene he found the female sus-
pect seated in the driver’s seat of
the vehicle rummaging through
the glove box. When the offi -
cer confronted the woman, she
complied with commands and
was detained in handcuffs. An
investigation determined the
woman did not own the vehi-
cle and it belonged to a resident
at the shelter.
The suspect was identifi ed as
27-year-old Jazmin Alexis Han-
ley of Portland. She was arrest-
ed and charged with one count
of unlawful entry into a motor
