Man waits for arrost at businoss broak-in
nado, 23, of Salem was arrest-
ed and taken to the Marion
County Correctional Facility
where he was charged with
one count of criminal mis-
chief, one count of criminal
trespass and one count of bur-
glary.
A man seeking mental
health treatment broke into a
River Road business to gain
the attention of authorities.
About 8:30 p.m. on Tues-
day, Nov. 21, Keizer police
were summoned to Keizer
Auto Wholesale at 5640 River
Road N. The owner of the
business, David Waldner, told
police that a clerk working at
the neighboring 7-Eleven had
called him at home regarding
a person “trashing” the auto
dealership.
Waldner responded to the
business and found a man in-
side the offi ce. A sliding glass
door leading into the busi-
ness and a window had been
damaged by the suspect. When
Waldner called 9-1-1, he told
the dispatcher the suspect was
cooperative and would be
waiting for the police to come
arrest him.
The suspect told respond-
ing offi cers he wanted to be
arrested so he could receive
some mental health help.
