The one-day event, organ- zied by the Salem-Keizer Edu- cation Foundation, is a region- wide activity that teaches kids about entreneurship by creat- ing, developing and running their own lemonade stand. Kids can choose to do a stand indi- vidually or as part of a team. Last year there were almost 200 stands dotting the Keizer- Salem area. As designed, proceeds from a lemonade stand are divided equally between an education fund, donation to a charity and spending money. SKEF will release more in- formation in March.
