The Keizer Network of
Women and numerous volun-
teers spent much of last week
preparing to deliver gift bas-
kets to local families in need.
Sorting food boxes and
wrapping gifts took two nights
and deliveries were made Sat-
urday, Dec. 10.
More than 120 families and
335 kids were recipients of the
monthlong effort, said Orga-
nizer Audrey Butler.
“Social media made a big
difference this year. We had
two local businesses, AAA in
Salem and Whiteaker Ellis in
Tigard sponsored more than
100 of our gift tickets,” she
said. “As always, this has been
an amazing year and a great
group to work with.”
Families are selected for the
program through a partner-
ship with Keizer schools.
