Whiteaker inducts 46 into honor society
Whiteaker Middle School
inducted 46 eighth grad-
ers into the National Junior
Honor Society on Wednesday,
Oct. 12.
The induction took place
in a formal ceremony where
the kids committed to fol-
lowing the fi ve pillars of
NJHS—leadership, character,
citizenship, service and schol-
arship.
The students must main-
tain a 3.5 GPA or higher and
commit to at least 10 hours
of community service each
semester or 20 hours for the
school year.
Last school year, Whiteaker
honorees performed over 900
hours of community service.
This year’s inductees are
