from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event will be located in the Dye
House at Willamette Heritage Center, 1313 Mill Street S.E.
This will be the third annual Cart 2 Art benefi t auction of art
from recycled and repurposed materials. All proceeds support
the Straub Environmental Center’s education programs.
There will be live music with the Future Historians as well
as a hosted bar, appetizers, and clean comedy featuring David
Buerge and Jared Richard.
Tickets are $35 per person. To purchase tickets, call 503-391-

information go to www.StraubEnvironmentalCenter.org.
Car seat clinic Sept. 10
The Keizer Police Depart-
ment will be hosting a free
child safety seat clinic on Sat-
urday, Sept. 10, between 8 a.m.
and noon.
The clinic will be held in
the parking lot of Keizer City
Hall, located at 930 Chemawa
Road NE.
Specially trained safety seat
technicians will be on hand
to inspect, educate and install
safety seats and will have recall
information available. It is rec-
ommended that children who
use the safety seats be present at
the clinic so proper fi t can be
established. Know your child’s
height and weight if attending
with them is not possible.
The clinic is designed to
educate parents on the proper
installation and use of safety
seats. Sgt. Trevor Wenning said
attendees should be prepared to
learn, not just watch the techni-
cian install the car seat.
Clinics are hosted on a fi rst
come, fi rst serve basis and each
check takes between 30 and 45
minutes - multiple seats require
additional time.
Bring car seat instructions
and the vehicle owner’s manual.
