KPD doing safety campaigns
From Feb. 8 to 21, the Keizer Police Department will par-
ticipate in a “Click it or Ticket” campaign, with a focus on
educating the public about seat belts, child restraints, texting
and speeding.
Stats show proper use of child safety seats increase crash
survivability by up to 71 percent for infants, 59 percent for
toddlers and 45 percent for booster seat occupants. For adults,
usage can reduce chances of a fatal crash by up to 65 percent.
The KPD will also have extra DUII patrols for Super
Bowl Sunday this weekend.
