Volunteers Needed for
Budget Committee & Civil
Service Commission
The Keizer Fire District is
encouraging individuals to
consider seeking appointment
to two current vacancies.
The fi rst is the Fire District’s
Budget Committee. This is a
3-year appointment created
by the resignation of a citizen
member who was elected to
the Board of Directors. The
budget committee reviews
the budget proposed by
the budget offi cer, listens to
comments and questions
from interested citizens and
approves the budget. There
is currently one vacancy
on the 5 member budget
committee. To be considered
for appointment to the budget
committee you cannot be an
offi cer, agent or employee of
the Keizer Fire District. The
budget committee typically
meets at least twice in the
Spring.
The District is also seeking
interested
individuals
to
serve a 4-year term on
the District’s Civil Service
Commission.
To
be
considered a Commissioner
one must not be a member
of the Board of Directors,
an employee or volunteer of
the Keizer Fire District. The
individual shall be known to
believe in the principles of
civil service and shall serve
without compensation. The
Commission meets at least
once annually. There is
currently one vacancy on the
Civil Service Commission.
Interested individuals can
