St. Edward Catholic Church
will offer a free Thanksgiving
dinner for those alone or in
need Thursday, Nov. 26 from
noon to 2 p.m.
The church is located
at 5303 River Road N., in
Empty Bowls, the an-
nual pottery event to sup-
port hunger relief, will take
place Saturday and Sunday,
Nov. 21 and 22, at Willamette
Art Center. More than 1,200
handcrafted pottery pieces are
on sale to the public, and all
proceeds will go to Marion-
Polk Food Share.
More than 20 local artisans
spend all year long prepar-
ing the event. Glassblowing
demonstrations accompany
the holiday shopping affair. In
the last seven years, the Wil-
lamette Art Center has raised
more than $120,000 to fi ght
hunger in Marion and Polk
counties.
Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to
5 p.m. Sunday hours are noon
food drive in partnership with
Dayspring Fellowship with the
goal of providing 200 Salem-
Keizer families with a Thanks-
giving meal.

non-perishable food during
Empty Bowls and continuing
