PAGE A14, KEIZERTIMES, OCTOBER 2, 2015 Fire causes $150K damage to Keizer home The Keizer Fire District responded to the report of a house fi re shortly before 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept 27. The fi rst unit arriving on scene reported heavy smoke and fl ames coming from the single family home on Spring Leaf Court North. One oc- cupant had been asleep in the home at the time of the fi re and had to escape past the fi re in the living room. She was unable to escape out the win- dow. Salem Fire and Marion County Fire District both as- sisted with the fi re. No injuries were reported, but damage was estimated at $150,000 for the structure and $30,000 for the contents of the home. The cause of the fi re remains under investiga- tion.
