The City of Keizer has
been providing an online util-
ity bill payment service for ap-
proximately seven months.
The online utility bill pay
service is hosted by Paymen-
tus, one of the leading full-
service payment providers.
The Paymentus service allows
Keizer customers to receive
their utility bill electronically
and remit payment through
a secure website, https://ipn.
paymentus.com/cp/kizr
or
over the phone (1-855-748-
1075).
Approximately 1,200 to
1,300 transactions are pro-
cessed each month using the
online bill pay service with
approximately 400 customers
“going green” by electing to
receive their billing statement
electronically.
Over the last several
months a number of custom-
ers have identifi ed that other
online bill payment providers
have given the impression that
they are affi liated with the city
and for an additional transac-
tion or convenience fee they
will process your utility pay-
ment. These other providers
may offer a legitimate service
but they are not affi liated with
the City of Keizer as the city
does not charge a separate
transaction or convenience fee
for using the offi cial Paymen-
tus online utility bill payment
service.

WindSong at Eola Hills, the newest
Memory Care Community in the
Keizer-Salem area, opened in early April.
This community was created from the
vision of how people with Alzheimer’s
and other dementias can and should live
their lives.
The staff at WindSong at Eola Hills
is specifi cally trained in the Montessori
Method of Dementia Care. Residents
are provided with familiar tasks that
encourage them to be active in their
community. Every detail has been
selected with the needs of those
with memory loss in mind. Care is
approached as a partnership, cues are
provided when appropriate which allows
residents to maintain the highest level
of independence possible. The focus at
WindSong is to tap into the remaining
potential of each individual. Family
members and loved ones are encouraged
to share the resident’s life story, past daily
routines and preferences so that staff is
able to connect with the person and not
the disease. This allows the resident to
engage socially and it develops an interest
in caring for their home environment. In
the end, the resident is able to feel a sense
of pride in being an active participant
in their community that in turn boosts
their self-worth.
“It may be whole afternoons or just a
few precious moments that they are able
to enjoy and make a true connection,
but we are able to recreate and build
on those successes,” said Stacey Flint,
Director of Community Relations.
