167 is holding a scrap metal
drive fundraiser for its sum-
mer camp.
Community members can
help by donating scrap metal.
Troop members will pick up
the metal on Saturday, May 9
or any other time that is ar-

scrap metal include pipes,
fencing, roofing, siding, wir-
ing, auto parts and certain ap-
pliances.

As mentioned last July in
the Keizertimes, the Keizer
Station location is an example
of the continuing growth for
the Minnesota-based women’s
clothing retailer.The company
opened its 900th location last
year and has stores in 46 states.
Test drive a
Ford for MHS

18, will earn McNary High
School $20 each.
Ford Motor Company
makes the donation of up to
$6,000 on the part of local
dealerships. Several thousand
dollars have been donated to
McNary since the inception
of the Drive 4 UR School
event.

The company’s long-term
goal is to have 1,200 stores in

ditional 100 stores in Canada.
Terwilleger said the style
of the Keizer Station location
reflects a newer trend for the
company.
“This is a typical maurices,
with our new décor and up-
dated look,” she said.
Other nearby maurices
locations are in the Salem
Center and the outlet mall in
Woodburn.

Architects out of Lake Os-
wego, which has built many of
the stores in the shopping cen-
ter owned by California-based
Donahue Schriber Realty
Group, submitted an applica-
tion for a commercial shell to
the city last July. The build-
ing was listed as being 7,494
square feet in space, with
5,088 square feet for maurices
and the rest for Chipotle.

are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday
through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7
p.m. Sunday.
Seniors, get your talent

Festival’s second annual Senior
Talent Show will be held at

Monster ride returns
The Monster Cookie Met-
ric Century Bicycle Ride is
set for Sunday,April 26.
The 39 th annual event,
sponsored by the Salem Bicy-
cle Club, begins at 10 a.m. and
covers a 62 mile (100 kilome-
ter) path from the state capitol
in Salem to Champoeg State
Park and back.
Pre-registration costs $25
before April 17, or $30 for
day-of-ride registration from
8 to 10 a.m. T-shirts are also
available for $20.
