Two arrested in drug bust

spent St. Patrick’s Day serving
a search warrant and arresting
a couple.
CRU members served the
search warrant on the 5400
block of Arcade Avenue NE a
little after 10:30 a.m. on Tues-
day, March 17.
Kevin Michael Weathers,
44, and wife Lexie Roxann
Weathers, 38, were arrested
after complaints from neigh-
bors of drug-associated activ-
ity.
According to the KPD,
a CRU investigation con-
fi rmed activity was likely
happening, leading to a search
warrant being granted.
A 16-year-old was home
at the time, while a middle
school aged child was in
school when the warrant was
served. Two other adults were
in the house but were not ar-
rested.
Police found methamphet-
amine, packaging materials,
scales, used syringes and piles
of garbage and rotting matter
inside and outside the home.
Since the Weathers are
parents of two children,
child welfare offi cials placed
the children in a temporary
home. Investigators believe
the home was used for rou-
tine use and sales of meth-
amphetamine and other con-
trolled substances.
The Weathers were lodged
at the Marion County Cor-
rectional Facility. They were
both charged with two counts
of child endangerment and
one count of maintaining a
drug house and possession of
methamphetamine.
Additionally, Kevin Weath-
ers was charged with delivery
of methamphetamine.

Two parents were arrested by members of the Keizer Police Department’s Community Response
Unit (CRU) on March 17, following complaints from neighbors about suspected drug activity on
the 5400 block of Arcade Avenue NE. In addition to drug paraphernalia, police also found a
large amount of garbage and rotting matter. As explained in this week’s Keizertimes cover story,
CRU was brought back last year in part to deal with such complaints from neighbors.
