Dayton Bicycles Allen Phillips who has been in Portland for some time returned home Friday of last week. Quite a number of people a t tended the surprise party and dance given at the Charley Ros- ■iter home in honor of doctor and Mrs. Rossiter from fear Portland last Saturday evening. Wilma Ware and Ella Smith were callers at the John Apple home last Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Basel who have been in Washington for some time have now returned to the Basl home in Coon Hollow where they intend to make their f dure nonre- Mrs. Hafner and c h i l d r e n who are picking loganberries near Liberty spent the week-end home. Quite a few of the people of this neighborhood celebrated the Fourth in Salem. Mary Apple and father of Sa lem spent Sunday with home folks in Coon Hollow. Road work in this vicinity is progressing nicely and will soon be completed for this year. Lela Phillips who has been visiting home has returned to I Gervis. John Apple, Lawrence and 1 Merta Siegmund and Violet Ros siter motored to Sciolast Sunday. Charley Siegmund and family of Salem, Ed. Siegmund of Fern Ridge, Violat Rossiter, Allan Phillips, Daniel Kelley and Tony Neitling were callers at the Apple home last Sunday. Balsiger & Son, Jordan, Ore.
