Hurt has been at tending to business matters in this part of the neighborhood, II<- will return to his family in Port land this week. Mrs. U. II. Mollet and son Ralph motored to Stayton Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Scott and family and -Miss Ethel King and Mr. and Mrs. Gilmour and family spent Sunday with Mrs. J. King.. Mr. and Airs. Floyd Crabtree and family and Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Carter spent Sunday with W. II. Mollet and family, it being Mr. Mollet\s birthday. Miss Bertha returned home with Floyd Crab tree. Union Hill school is closed. The teacher, Miss Lois Miles, will re-, turn to her home in Salem. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lincoln spent Sunday evening at the W. II. Mol let home. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Rabens were visiting relatives in Stayton. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Carter were Stayton visitors Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Carter and family spent Sunday at Elvin Car ter's. Mr. and Airs. Pete Barkmeyer and little daughter Louine spent the week end visiting friends in Mt. Angel. Air*. Elvin Carter am! son Lyal have been visiting with her moth er Mrs. Burnett ami other rela tives. Virgil Darby, who for seve at months has been working in a logging camp near Kingston, has noved his family back here.
