« , JT t. = Royal Baking Pow der makes it possible to pro* duce appetizing and wholesome cakes, muffins, cornbread, etc., with few er eggs than are usually required. In many recipes the number o f eggs may be re duced and excellent results obtained by adding an additional quantity o f R oyal Baking Powder, about a teaspoon, for each eg g omitted. The following tested recipe is a practical illustration: SPONGE CAKE a Royal Baking Powder > cold water ion flavoring DIRECTIONS— Boll augar and water until syrup apina a thread and add to the atiflly beaten whites oi eggs, beating until the mixture ia cold. S'ft together three time# th e flour, salt and baking powder; beat yolka of et'gs until thick; add a little at a time flour mixture and egg yolka alternataly to w h it e of agg mixture, atir* ring after each addition. Add W cup cold water and flavoring. Mix lightly and bake in moderate oven one hour.
