AT BUNGALOW NOME
Ten of Stayton’a huainess men went
to Sublimity Tuesday night to attend
the regular meeting of the Sublimity
Commercial Club. Quite a crowd of
the Sublimity member« were on hand
and W. II. Downing called on many of
those present for speeches.
Among those who responded, and
talked of the new railroad being pro
jected from Salem to Bend were: J. T.
Kearns, E. M. Olmsted and Geo. Kaech.
After s considerable discuaaion along
that line, F. A. Bell gave the crowd
aorne very intereating remarks on how
to build up the fertility of the farms
from experience he had gamed in hia
trip to Germany five yearB ago. The
Stayton delegation then extended an
invitation to the Sublimity Club to via-
