She has lived in W ashing ton since her m arriage in 1896. She is about 38 years old and was Miss Kdith Bolling, born in W ytheville, Va., w here her girlhood was spent and where her father, W illiam H. Boiling, was s prom inent lawyer. For many weeks Mrs. G alt and her relativ es have been frequent dinner guests s t th e W hite House. O ften she has accompanied th e P resident on motor rides.
