A goodly number were present, among whom were two of their children and several of their grandchildren. A short wedding ceremony was per formed by Rev. Goode. J The Stayton school board together with Geo. Keech and Prof. Gauntt made a trip to Albany Saturday, where the entire crowd inspected the new building being erected, and also the high school built there several years ago. From Albany, two of the directors, Henry Smith and E. M. Olmsted, went to Newport, where another school has just been finished.
