STAYTON LOSES THREE OUT OF FOUR Four games in succession is quite a record for as small a town as Stsyton, but that's the number o f ball games tho Stsyton boys have played in the past week. The first game was on last Thursday between the locals and Lebanon and should have been won eaally by Slay ton as the score stood 8 to 0 in their favor until the unlucky seventh, when few costly errors let the game finish 3 to 4 in favor o f the visitors. The contracting parties were Miss Grace Crabtree and C. Ward Holford both o f till» city. About one hundred guests were pres ent at the ceremony which was per formed by Rev. H. E. Rossell. The impressive ring service was used. Mias Wilma Ware waa bridesmaid and Ever ett Crabtree, brother o f the bride was nest man. Airs. H. A. Beauchamp played the wedding march and Miss Lena Matten of Salem sang a beauti fully rendered solo entitled “ Song Is Sweet” at the beginning o f the cere mony. The Misses Matten o f Salem acted as ushers. The bride was attired in a lovely dresa o f Crepe-de-cbine and carried a bouquet o f white carnations. The happy couple started at once on their wedding trip to the Coast amidst showers o f rice and good wishes o f all. Many beautiful presents were given to the ycung people by relatives and friends. . The bride is the daughter o f Mrs. S. G. Crabtree o* this city and has been one of the successful teachers of this vicinity. The groom i« the son o f C. M. Holford o f this city and is part proprietor o f the Stayton Dray Line and is one of the best citizens o f the town.
