Maharaja THE CHRISTMAS TREE Christmas has come with it’s sorrow* anti joys, bringing :>anty with hi* load* of toys. Girls an J boys both rich and poor, all look for him as they have be fore. But in whatever station in life we stand, the thought comes back to woman and man, of the times thev had in the long ago, when their stocking* were filled from top to toe with sled and dolls and skates and knife, candy and nuts and harp and fife. Then we were as happy as kids could be anti each other’s toys we’d rush to see. Now whether we’er filled with sorrow or joys let us remember the girls and boys, and give them a chance where ere they be to look on the shin ing Christmas tree. There was Susan anti May and Jen ny and Pearl, or the smiling face of some other girl, that filled our hearts with the greatest joys, tis the same to day with other boys. So give them a chance, it is only just when we were kids ’twas the same with us. There was nothing then we loved to see as well as we did the Christmas tree. Now the Aumsville Poet's purse is light, but his heart is big and pretty white so join with me to make life bright for the children all on Christ mas night. I t ’s up to us both you and me, to give the children a Christmas tree. Merry Christmas to all and I wish you joy,- for the poet himself was once a boy. Aumsville Poet PARENT-TEACHERS MEETING A SUCCESS The Parent-Teachers meeting at the school house last Friday evening was quite well attended. The following program was rendered.
