Positively all papers stopped on expiration o f subscription The Democrats will never know peace until they have operat ed on the tariff. Yet the Panama canal may change the climate. It has al- feii y caused a sort of chilliness between America and England. Just as peace is about to be decided in the Balkans, Greece file a petition for an unknown island, and all the work has to be done over again. A professor says there are 10,000,000 tunes in the world. It see ms strange that only three or four of them have ever gotten in to musical comedy. Dr. Cook, o f Pole discovery fame, says his object in going Into vaudeville is to get into close contact with the people: also, no doubt, the people’s dimes and dollars.
