?'3 Last Grasse is Piow Before You At Ten Cents.
Salem, Oregon, Nov. 2nd, £908.

Mr. J.T. Kearns,
Stayton, Oregon.
Dear Sir -•
I have just been advised by Mr Hansen that he authorized you to
raise the price of stock to 15 cents on the 1st of November. I understand the
matter has been advertised to some extent. The fact of the matter is, we are
not vet ready to raise the price, because the parties who have in charge the
raising of the pool have been unable, on account of other matters, to get at the
work as soon as they expected.
11 it*V wvrv rt'uiv .t tew days ago, h it decided to w r t until after the election. Thev have until the middle >f the month ♦ <*
complete this, and liowew r much we would Ilk * to increase the price, we do not teel justified in doing so until these parties lin e
a dun ce to finish this muter up.
I realize that you will be placed in somewhat of an awkward position to have to announce
that a decision h is been made not to raise the paice at this time, hut we see no other wav out of the matter.
We suggest that
vo '1 < an announce that the C >mpany has decided not to increase the price of stock until the new drill and air compressor is in
stalled.
