While awaiting the action of the
special committe having in chary,« tin
solicitation «1 stock subscriptions for
the Milk Condenser, C T Rogers sc*
com pa ni«d hy Mayor W LFrer«*» made
a very pleasant trip through the
Waldo Hill country, Coon Hollow and
Fern Ridge. Mr R o g e r » was gr«*ntly
eluted with wlnit he saw and expressed
himself as heing more enthusiastic
than ever in getting his business in
such a condition us to permit of hi*
taking his wife to seethe wonderful
country that lies tributary to Stay ton,
Huldimity, Shaw and Anmsville.
The territory north and west is
wonderfully w«*ll adapted to all classes
of agriculture. Fruit, grains grasses
and cerials thrive in every section, all
the people need in this section )« a
direct electric road to Portland to put
them in a position to get as high a
price for everything raised hs the other
territories nearer the metropolis.
There is no place in the Pacific north
west that esn other more inducements
to the investor in any line than does
this section. It is the traveling public
that determine whether or not a
country has a future. It is next to
impossible to find any one who is not
dumfoiinded to find projierty so re
asonable as here.
