J Nott, contains the sad newsof the death of Rev. Geo. kalthy at the home of Mr Nott, in McMinnville, Tuesday, July 3. at 9:20 p. in., the cause of death being la grip- po. He was aged at the time of hia death 84 years, 2 months and 10 days. The ¡only surviving members of his family are his aged wife, Dr. K. F. Ashby, of Portland, and Mrs H J. Nott, Me- Min nville. Rev. Ashby wa* for many years a resident of this town and neighborhood land has a host of friends who will lie pained to hear that he has been called . to his final rest. He was an earnest Christian gentleman,and in his earlier years an industrious worker in the cause of the Master. His passing away closes a long and useful life, and lie lays down the bur- j dens of life for an eternal reward. Thu interment w ill be at McMinnville.
