TRUCK OF THE WEEK
Meet Casper!
This adorable hunk of a pup
came to Brightside as a stray
and now is looking for his for-
ever home. Casper is an ador-
able one- to two-year-old Great
Pyrenees who weighs in at 84
pounds. While being with staff,
Casper has shown us that he
is an active and energetic job-
seeker who loves to be playing or
running around busy.
When it comes to Casper’s so-
ciability, he is a lover of all and
definitely shows us that he is ev-
eryone’s best friend while he is
here. As we don’t know his his-
tory, we are not sure how Casper
does with cats and require an
introduction with him and other
dogs to ensure an easy home transition after adoption. This bubbly love bug’s
personality can be described as affectionate, charming, confident and at times
very goofy. As Casper came to us as a stray, we don’t know anything about his
history and we will do our best to make updates about him as he spends time
here.
If you are looking for an outgoing and active boy ready for adventure, come
meet Casper today.

For The Spokesman
Name of truck: Nonna’s Cucina
Owner: Ashley Dolinar
Location: General Duffy’s, 404 SW Forest Ave
Hours: 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day
Opened: February 2020
Type of food: Italian
About the cart: Nonna’s Italian options range from ravioli to a
chicken pesto sandwich. They make their food from scratch and lo-
cally source many of their ingredients. Most of the recipes are from
Dolinar’s “nonna” Janet Dolinar, which were passed down through
the family for generations. Janet is a second generation Italian-immi-
grant and her granddaughter Ashley described her as a “typical Italian
lady, always asking if you’re hungry.” Ashley put her own spin on her
nonna’s recipes for the truck. They food is all organic and there are
gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. Recipes are available for
Sungrounded Farm in Terrebonne, Deschutes Gourmet Mushroom,
The Village Baker in Bend, and Camas Country Mill in Eugene.
First order should be: Dolinar suggests spaghetti and meatballs.
She says the meatballs are her nonna’s recipe. The order comes with a
side salad and she recommends a side of garlic bread.
Fun Fact: Dolinar says that these are family recipes from the Parma
region of Northern Italy. There is a factory located there where they get
their parmigiano reggiano, a type of Italian cheese. She says that they can
only get it from Parma. Dolinar says that her “super extended” family in
Italy works in this factory.
