PET OF THE WEEK Meet Marie! This little lady was saved from a house fire and brought to Brightside An- imal Center for recovery. Now this survivor has healed enough to find a new for- ever home. Marie is a very sweet, gentle, and affectionate kitty. She is looking for a calm and quiet home where she can slowly become comfortable again. Marie has been shy at the shelter and we are doing everything we can to help her be comfortable. What Marie really needs though, is a loving home. But although he wasn’t able to be captured on film, we know quite a lot about his habits and interests, making him a prime choice for this week’s top prize. According to Lee Barker of Redmond, on the morning of May 31 “Delbert went to the Rainbird Shower in the Dry Canyon and was returning when we crossed trails. Unfortunately he had forgotten his bathrobe, so shyness motivated him to make tracks for home to evade embarrassment. These wet footprints show where he just w as.” Have you snapped a photo of your own favorite rockchuck (or the trails they leave behind?)
