Redmond’s long-running free sum-
mer concert series, Music on the Green,
returns this year to Sam Johnson Park,
or as my kids call it, “the park with the
really cool playground.”
They’re right! The park does have
a really cool playground. And on
Wednesday, June 29, it’ll also host local
quartet JuJu Eyeball, whose high-energy
Beatles covers make them one of the
most in-demand bands in the region.
Next week’s show will kick off the
27th Music on the Green series, which
will also feature food and drink options,
vendor booths and bouncy houses for
the kids. Lawn chairs and blankets are
welcome. The event is scheduled to
wrap up around 7:30 p.m.
Here’s the rest of the schedule:

Meet Molly!
Transferred to
us from Okla-
homa, this lady
is eager to get out
of here. Molly is a
tiny and mighty
pup that has the
energy of men-
tos and a bottle of soda at times.
She’s a go, go, goer who loves to ex-
plore anywhere she can. This little
firecracker is looking for an active
home as she isn’t a fan of sitting still.
We know that Molly does well
with other dogs, but we will require
a meet-and-greet between her and
other dogs in the home. We do not
believe Molly would do well with
cats as she can be a handful for
calm bodies.

The June 28, 2022 “Chuck of the Week” is phil, destroyer
of Broccoli. phil was captured and photographed recently
in Redmond by Rex harris. according to Rex’s daughter,
Rex “trapped this little dude for rampaging his garden and
then relocated him safely out of town.” phil was especially
fond of broccoli, which eventually forced him to find a new
rock under which to hang his hat.
