A crowd gathers at the “Ladies, Legacies and Landmarks” event on
April 30 at Centennial Park in downtown Redmond.
Historic women’s tour
raises $4,200 in funds
In spite of poor weather, the
“Ladies, Legacies and Land-
marks” event raised more
than $4,200, not including ad-
ditional funds raised by teams
who competed in a citywide
quest on April 30.
The funds will be donated
to Saving Grace, a domestic
violence and sexual assault
service provider in Central
Oregon, and the GFWC of
Central Oregon, which led
the event.
According to organizers,
wind gusts over 20 mph,
chilly temps and rain damp-
ened some of the turnout. But
donors contributed to an on-
line auction and a number of
teams completed the quest,
which led them around Red-
mond.
