Ob- sidian is a special place and my experience during the last two years serving as assistant principal has been an enormous privilege,” Grant said, in a release. “I look forward to stepping in as principal to lead our amazing students, staff, and the Obsidian community. Together we will continue creating a welcom- ing place for all students.” Grant will take over as principal on July 1. Angus has been here at Bright- Side before, but recently returned as an un- claimed stray. Angus’ previous owner describes him as affectionate, hyper, playful, and friendly. He does like the sound of his own voice and may bark for attention. He is pretty active but his owner says he wants to please & that he has a happy-go-lucky person- ality. Angus has been friendly with adults but he has never been around children. He has lived with other dogs and 1 cat. Reportedly he is playful/affection- ate and respectful with other dogs and the cat. He has been a bit reac- tive toward other dogs at the shelter so we are not sure how he will do with all dogs. He is potty trained and likes riding in the car. He walks pretty well on leash and knows his basic commands. He loves to play fetch and loved a tetherball hang- ing from a tree in his previous home. Angus is a busy, strong dog that will need an owner famil- iar with energetic bully breeds! CROSSWORD Vernardos Circus will return to the Deschutes County Fairgrounds in Redmond on May 26.
