WHO WE ARE. Established in 1987, REDI is a private, non-profit corporation built on partnerships between private business and the public sector to encourage economic development in Redmond. In simple terms, we are a catalyst for economic growth in Redmond, and we’re made of focused individuals that strive to keep our community vibrant and strong. WE’RE ALL ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS. REDI is made of people with a vision for a prosperous life for all. We believe at the core of a community’s success are connections and relationships of the people who live, work and play here. Without partnerships and collaboration, a community isn’t a community, it’s merely a town, a city, or dot on a map. Our purpose is to maintain the integrity of our tight- knit community while thinking big and building a strong economy, from small businesses to those that span the globe. We also believe prosperity means more than money. It means living a life with purpose, fulfillment, and to one’s potential in a desirable place happily called home. And, being able to do so for years to come. REDI’s work, together with local businesses, puts Redmond on the map as a place for industry, talent, and financial sustainability. This is why REDI exists. Learn more about how you can be a part of our vision and mission. Page 44 WHAT WE DO. REDI means business. We create prosperity through community and business development by increasing the quality and number of local jobs, by helping companies grow locally and pursue outside opportunities, by helping companies secure capital investment, and by recruiting and retaining both business and talent in Redmond. • We advocate for early stage company development and business expansion by helping local businesses with their growth plans. We also pursue outside leads for relocation or access to growth markets. • We help with site selection by identifying suitable properties for expansion and/or new companies breaking ground or relocating to Redmond. • We help businesses navigate governmental policy, permits, and procedures and help mitigate regulatory delays. • Our 30 years as an organization means we have most of the answers to business development questions, or we know where to get them, quickly! • We facilitate conversations and connections between companies with needs and suppliers that can fulfill such needs, leading to development and growth of our community. • We think of ourselves as dot connectors or catalysts— we make connections that make things happen.
