* CROP REPORTS W ANTED
BY TH E HIM IK EHM A Y
The Spokesman la desirous
o f securing crop reports from
all sections tributary to Red
mond. Nothing speaks better
for Redmond and the agricul
tural districts in this section
o f Central Oregon than the
reporta of actual crop yields
The Spokesman Is anxious to
secure these reports from all
localities for publication, and
therefore requests every farmer
to clip out the "C rop Report”
blank published elsewhere In
this Issue, nil It In properly,
and bring or mall same to this
office, where It will be given
prominence
among
the
re
sources o f this section of the
state.
A HOMO
Here they are again, men.
Our
old friends. Weary Willie and Itusty
Rhodes. Thinking that perhaps the
last time you saw them they took
some other guise, I have slung a
battered tin can over the shoulder
of the taller, so that you can't go
wrong.
They are discussing the third vaga
bond, who can be dimly seen beat
ing It along the railway track which
traverses the picture at the rear.
What are they saying? Listen!
It
is Weary Willie speaking:
Weary Willie— Is dat guy Cali
fornia Cal much of a hobo?
Dusty Rhodes Much of a hobo?
Why, he beat his way across the
Sahara Desert on a camel.

A big showing has been made on
the first year homesteads. In strictly
dry land regions there has been an
excess of moisture this season, so
the settlers are favored.
All crops

on bench dry land at Prlnevllle was
pronounced successful.
As a re

farm work Is to be pushed ahead
vigorously. He preached "dual pur
