SLOCUM, Cashier SECOND ANNUAL Redmond Potato Show and Fair TO BE HELD AT McFARLANE SURE TO BE H ID » BIG RABBIT ELECTED COUNTY JUDGE DWElAST T H K CITY DK AD SH O T S W ON O T T REDM O ND, ORE. FRIDAY and SATURDAY, OCT. 11-12 Liberal Premiums will be ¿riven on Potatoes and all kinds of Farm Products Competition open to any person in Crook County for Premium lis t send to A. J. HANEY, Sec. Redmond Commercial Club Coe’s Candidacy Is Considered a Joke by a Majority' of Crook County Voters—Springer Los ing (¡round Fast all Over the County, and McFarlane Gains Carefully gleaned reports from the different sections of the county, and particularly from the precincts of I’rine- ville. Sisters and Madras, assure the election of G. A. Mc- Farlane of Redmond, for county judge by a large majority. The ridiculously false statements now appearing from time to time in the Bend Bulletin in regard to the support which is being received by Dr. Coe, who is being put for ward by the First National Bank and timber interests of Bend in a brass band campaign, and a fruitless effort to control county business and county funds, is certainly very amusing to anyone who will stop to consider the situation. Some of the papers of the county that are copying these articles in answer to a liberal application of the slush fund of what is self-styled the Coe Campaign Committee, would do well to stop and consider the fact that their respective communities are not in sympathy with such methods, or with the candidacy of Coe. It is also amusing to note the attempt on the part of the Bend Bulletin to flirt with some of the smaller towns which heretofore it has wholly ignored, and will continue to ignore after election, regardless of results. We also note the fnct that Mr. Springer, not being an attorney, is losing him the support of many Democrats who are now openly advocating the election of Mr. McFarlane. It is now a foregone conclusion that Mr. McFarlane, the Republican nominee, will receive the unanimous support of all decent Republicans in the county, and indications now are that he will carry the Bend precinct by a good major ity, as many citizens of Bend are opposed to the candidacy of Dr. Coe at this time and are rallying to the support of McFarlane.
