The Redmond station has taken in more money for freight and twaaenger receipts than any other station on the line, and the freight shipments to this i*»int have lawn greater than ull tin- other stations on the line put to­ gether. Hedmond Athletic Club Ibis Many Charter Members At a meeting held at the Re»l- utond Hunk of Commerce Tues­ day night an athletic club was formed here, to la- known as the Redmond Athletic Club. Monthly dues will lie one dollar. A large number of citizens have joined the club, and the future of the organization is as­ sured. R. C. Wygant, field assistant to the desert land board, left Salem last week for an inspec­ tion trip through Central Ore­ gon. during which time he will go over and check up the work of the Central Oregon Irrigation company's project in this section. It was as a result of Engineer Wygant's investigations on this project for the desert land board that Manager J. Roseoe Howard made the statement to the board that Wygant had done more harm in Central Oregon than ant other two men in that, as Howard claimed, he had made false and misleading statements. At the time these charges were made, Wygant’s reports were proven to be correct. This trip is to check up the new work which Manager Howard stated he was doing. During the first few days of his trip Engineer Wygant will have charge of the river hydrau­ lics for the fish and game com­ mission under Master Fish Warden R. E. Clanton for the Oregon Central Fish Hatchery at Bonneville, on the Columbia river in eastern Multnomah county. A lot of fish ponds are being constructed there and Tan­ ner creek is being harnessed to supply water and power for the enlargement of the present hatchery. The capacity of the hatchery is being doubled so the capacity will be 16,000.000 fish.
