the roots. The vines began to
grow and many appeared above
the ground.
Later with the late spring
AND ...
freeze, the tender shoots were
killed and the sap running back
into the roots soured. It is there­
fore figured that the roots will
remain dormant during the re­
mainder o f the season although
no evil effects are felt regarding
the future.
