Salem has become a manafact-
uring center. It has 45 factories
employing 1510 workmen. The
monthly payroll is $90.;t90and the
value of the annual pririuct is
more than $4,000,000.
An immense wool warehouse
is to l»e erected at Metoliu*. The
town will handle a large part o f
the wool clip o f Central Oregon,
which amounts to over 1,000.000
