An interesting letter fr »m Wai

CeNf., states that he is now a soliei
tor for tbs printers, Eitou A Co., of
that city, and likes it for tbs wide
aoquaintanoe and valuable experi
ence resulting. He enclosed a card
from the Mansfield Con»cr/»tOfV of
Music, and says:
“You know the Mansfield family
who used to live on Rogue river
near the ferry. The two older boys,
Gilbert and Dudley sveregresit vio
linists. They left Curry many
years ago. .1 can just rtiMhber
Gilbert and Dpdlegv v in s other
day I visited their studio here in
San Joee and found a young mao,
Johnny Mansfield in charge. He
was a baby when they left Curry
and doesn’t remember their home
up there. He seemed very glad to
me and said bt had often heard
his mother speak of the Rileys. His
mother is living yet and he expects
toon to move her Io San Jose. He
says lie has a good class here and Is
doing well. Gilbert is in San Frau
cisco and Dudley in New York. The
Mansfield Brothers have conserve
lories of music in San Francisco,
Oakland, Sau Rafael, Palo Alto and
San Jore. Another brother, Weller

in this state.”
